Shooting Color and Black & White

Shooting for color or black & white is not only a subjective decision, but, more importantly, a creative one. This course offers a unique collection of hands-on creative exercises designed to help you improve your color and black & white photography. Participants will be challenged to shoot with purpose, to think and consider color (or the lack of) in the process of taking images and to design images rather than simply snap them.

The class will be divided into two sessions. During the morning, we will focus on shooting techniques, camera settings, and color composition. In the afternoon, we will return to the ViewFinder Center Studio to discuss post-processing techniques in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
We will take a short lunch break, the cost of lunch is not included in the class fee. At the end of the day, we will take time to review images and discuss questions. The class concludes at 17:30.
Class Format: Hands-on, interactive learning taught by a working professional photographer.
Class Time: 10:30 - 17:30
Experience Level: All levels - Participants should already know how to operate their camera and be able to control exposure and focus.
Class fee: CHF 325* per person
Location: ViewFinder Center - ZURICH studio (map)
Requirements: A digital compact (point & shoot) or digital SLR camera.
Come prepared to shoot: Don’t forget your charged batteries and memory cards.
Class size: Minimum of 5 students, maximum of 10.

More than 20 days before event: Full refund
10 - 20 days before the event: CHF 75 cancellation fee
Less than 10 days prior to the event and no-shows: No refund
