Creative People Photography will introduce you to the fundamentals of taking great people photos. Capturing people and their personalities presents unique challenges for any photographer. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced, intermediate photographer, this class will help you get better results with your people photos.
In this class, you’ll learn:

- Breaking through the shyness barrier/capturing authentic expressions
- Observing and using your subject’s environment/clothing

Class Format: Hands-on, interactive learning, taught by a working professional photographer.
Class Time: 10:30 - 17:30
Experience Level: Beginner - Intermediate
Class fee: CHF 325* per person
Location: ViewFinder Center - ZURICH studio (map)
Requirements: A digital compact (point & shoot) or digital SLR camera. Also, you can bring a tripod, if you own one, but it is not a requirement. Students should have a basic understanding of their camera’s settings and functions and be able to use them.
Class size: Minimum of 6 students, maximum of 10.

Course Outline:
In the morning session we will discuss how to approach people, preparing for different shooting situations and review techniques you can use to create great portraits. After a lunch break (lunch is at your own expense), the afternoon session will continue with hands-on shooting exercises and instruction using the techniques covered in the morning.
1. Planning & Techniques
- How to work with people you are photographing
- How to plan for various shooting situations

- Capturing special moments as they happen
2. Taking Pictures
In the afternoon, we will move outside to a nearby location to shoot together and apply the techniques from the morning session. The instructor will work individually with all students helping them apply the tips and techniques learned in the morning session. Working in teams, we will practice with several guided exercises. Finally, we will return to the ViewFinder Center to review images and discuss questions.
You’ll leave the class ready to take on the challenge of photographing your children, family and friends, on vacations, at parties, weddings and the many moments that make life worth remembering in images.

More than 20 days before event: Full refund
10 - 20 days before the event: CHF 75 cancellation fee
Less than 10 days prior to the event and no-shows: No refund
