Matt develops and teaches Viewfinder’s classes and workshops and organizes photography gatherings around Switzerland.
An award-winning professional photographer, Matt has been living in Switzerland since 2008. Matt’s career began in news photojournalism where he worked as a photographer at three different daily newspapers in the USA and freelanced regularly for the Associated Press. His work has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Press Photographers Association, and the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers.
Matt studied journalism at University and earned a bachelor of arts degree from Western Washington University (Bellingham, WA) in 2002. As a full-time professional photographer, Matt photographs high-end weddings, commercial and editorial projects, and shoots portraits - both in Switzerland and abroad. Matt holds a master’s degree in teaching from City University of Seattle and is passionate about imparting his own photography knowledge on other photographers.
