Our program starts on Saturday afternoon with a presentation by Christian Heeb on “capturing the light“ followed by a question and answer session and a group dinner. After dinner we’ll head out to practice shooting during the “golden hour,” as we compose dramatic shots toward the Bodensee, Lichtenstein, and the Central Swiss Alps from this unique vantage point in Switzerland. Following our sunset shoot, there will be time for discussions over a warm drink inside the rustic Älter Säntis restaurant. Then we’ll head back out to practice some night time landscape photography. Today’s digital cameras are capable of capturing fantastic images of the night sky and stars if you know just a few tricks.

After a good night sleep we’ll meet up for a sunrise shoot. There should be great views all the way to the Bodensee and toward the Churfirsten mountains. After photographing the sunrise, we’ll head back in for a swiss style breakfast at the lodge. When breakfast wraps up we will have another presentation of Christian Heeb’s travel and landscape photography followed by an image review session. Workshop participants will send in their two favorite images for an instructor critique. At midday on Sunday the Workshop ends, but if weather permits we’ll take a optional side trip to the Seealpsee where we can point our cameras at even more fantastic scenery.(Transportation to and from Seealpsee must be independently arranged).
